Our Vision.

Who?

We are a queer owned clothing brand - for EVERYBODY.

We advocate for mental health awareness and to support queer social change.  Through creating product with strong messaging and donating 10% of our profits to support aligned organisations.  We give our consumer the option to choose which organisation to support through every sale.

The meaning behind Blue Boys is multi-faceted.

Bluemeaning both to be sad and of a sexual nature.

BoysOften associated with the colour Blue and stereotypical gender norms.

Brotherhood; Reclaiming this terminology of kinship. We can all be a part of the brotherhood no matter how you identify.

What?

Blue Boys uses its platform to help create and connect communities through building a “Brotherhood” of “Blue Boys’  who are pioneering for a more inclusive world. Our designs are inspired by queer culture and advocate for mental health awareness.

Why?

Queer identifying people are more likely to suffer from mental health issues than non queer identifying people. The UK average is 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health, however within the LGBTQIA+ community levels can reach as high as 70%

  • Half of LGBT people (52%) said they’ve experienced depression in the last year, with another 10% saying they think they might have experienced depression.*
  • One in eight LGBT people aged 18-24 (13%) said they’ve attempted to take their own life in the last year.*
  • Almost half of trans people (46%) have thought about taking their own life in the last year, 31 per cent of LGB people who aren’t trans said the same.*
*According to a Stonewall/You Gov report: LGBT in Britain - Health (2018)

How?

Blue Boys aims to advocate and fundraise for a better standard of living for our community. Doing so by creating message driven clothing, that donates a percentage of profits to financially support organisations for social change that most effect our communities.

At Blue Boys we are not trained practitioners for mental health however we support and connect those who are. Highlighting key areas of focus within our community about conversations around; queer mental health, suicide prevention, sexual health information, trans mental health and HIV support.

Blue Boys uses its platform to help create and  connect communities through building a “Brotherhood” for all.

Blue Boys will support one of our selected organisation’s with every purchase you make. 10% of the profits from each sale will go to your chosen organisation. Simply select which one at the check-out and leave us to make the donation.
